I really like the tones in this peice, it gives a lovely feel. i do feel that the lipstick is too heavy for the image however, though that may be more of a personal thing than a true critique, its just, very dark and a big blob in the middle. i think it would of worked better with it just natural. I like your eyes though, they have a wonderful sharpness to them that work incredibly well a few hairs are quite distracting, though some of these could of been moved quite easily over all though. lovely image! ♥ Hope this encourages you to create more (: please never feel like I am trying to discourage you, always do what you enjoy and create what you love.
"This first aspect that i am drawn to in this picture is the eyes, not the lips. To me, these eyes are the eyes of innocence and youth, and the state of the lips only suggests a young girl who is attempting to appear grown up and sensual, but her eyes betray her innocence ! . . . but then again that may have been your intent - to combine the look of the painted harlot with the tragedy the feminine must endure to be accepted and loved, not for her natural self but for the allure of the facade ."
