Having looked through the entire series, and getting about as much of an impression for what the objective was, I conclude that the central focus of every one of these pictures has undoubtedly been overlooked.

Rather than focussing on the directive to contrast makeup styles with the chosen fruit, colour palette and mood, the photographer deviated completely in every shot. Rather than opting for enrichment of the fruit, focus lighting on key points and subject isolation for relevant features, the post process was entirely pointed to processing the eyes. Every single shot has an intensely over processed eye, with no basic work carried out on the skin or the fruit.

In fact in many of these shots the fruit is totally out of focus, giving way for, yes,full focus on another absurdly overprocessed cornea.

An old idea pulled off in an incredibly poor way but on the receiving end of shallow squandered praise with no distinct caption to merit the applause.

How this ended up on FStoppers is far beyond me
