Its probably that my critique will be impregnated of subjectivity, because, somehow, I see projected my actual mood in it, but I will make my best effort to say something intelligent.
The image is really striking: it is a disturbing mix of anguish, beauty and a touch naive, curiously, increases the shock. By one side, the eyes of the model are so beautiful as terrible.
Their expresivity. is brutal expression punctured in the heart of the beholder. Is a woman who silent some terribly painful, but, at same time, try of keep up appareances, perhaps, preserve her beauiful serenity while bites a beautiful rose as if she had biting a handkerchief tools, require an amputation without anesthesia. But pain almost opaques beauty, and I see something ironic in it.
By other side, is the soft blood that runs in her forehead: Is a physical pain then? Or a metaphor of an spiritual pain? Impossible for me, as catholic, not to notice something that brings me to the old paintings of the holly martyrs. A certain kind of masochistic joy: "Im suffering...but I am about to touch the Heaven" This could be other interpretation.
But conclusion would be that it is a beautiful photograph that somehow touches all levels of human emotions. Technicccally is simply perfect: Focuses on the soft blood of the forehead, the painful bright of her eyes and bloody tone of the rose, who contrast with opacity of skin.
All your work is so good, but to be honest I am so tired of seeing roses used all the time >.> Idk, judging by your other works you seem to have more imagination. Whatever the case maybe you should try some more new ideas? You have the talent to pull it off ^^
good god....the eyes in all of ure art....eyes r my favorite body part on either sex and the way u portray them takes my breath away! ure pictures r so full of emotion or lack there of, no matter what it is very well done ive never been so gripped by an artists work so quickly!
